Tractor Surprise

Ryan surprised Griffin with an awesome tractor. Dada picked it out and ordered it all by himself. He just told me that he ordered something for Griffin. He ordered a very cool something! The box showed up today via Fed Ex and Griffin about flipped when he saw the box (there was a picture on the outside). Needless to say, he LOVES it.

He couldn't wait for it Ryan to put it together. Had to get on with the plastic still on.
Poor boy is still just a little too short to reach the peddles.
That's right, it has a trailer (probably to haul his sister)
The finished product, stickers and all!

19 months/3 weeks

Yesterday marked 19 months for Griffin. I can not believe how big he is getting. He really is the coolest kid and continues to crack us up more and more each day. This is the last little "birthday" that he will have as an only child.

He loved lasagna night last night!

Three weeks from today, we are scheduled to bring our little lady into the world. I have to admit I am getting more nervous/excited, especially now that we are referring to weeks instead of months.
A little update, I went to the doctor on Tuesday and we are still measuring two weeks early. We made the decision not to move the c-section. I just don't want to go in there and get her for no reason. So, if she comes early she comes early. If not, we will see her on the 19th!

Ansley's Shower

My awesome friends Jill and Mindy threw me a shower for Ansley. I have really made some awesome friends out here. We had it last night and had so much fun. We played a couple of games and just enjoyed spending time together. I had such a great time and Ansley got some really nice gifts.

The awesome diaper cake Jill made
One of the activities was to make onesies for Ansley with stamps and glitter pens. These are just a few.

We took Griffy to the aquarium Saturday morning. We got there right when they opened as we didn't know what to expect. Well, we had the place to our selves for about 30 minutes, which is about the amount of time we were there. It isn't quite the GA aquarium, but it was nice. Griffin really enjoyed seeing all the "ish."

We took Griffin to the circus on Saturday. It was our Valentine's gift as a family. We had a great time. I think Griffin was a little overwhelmed with all the stuff going on, but seemed to enjoy it.

Trying out cotton candy for the first time. He didn't really care for it.
During intermission, you could go down on the floor and buy tickets to ride things (which included elephants) or get your photo taken. We didn't get any tickets, but walked around and took it all in.

Fun with Dada!

Griffin is a Mama's boy, but he sure loves playing with his Dada. Ryan is much better and being "fun" than me. :)

Mr. Fix It

Nanny and Pa sent Griffin this awesome tool set for Valentine's day. He LOVES it. He is always trying to play with Ryan's tools, so it is nice that he has his own set now.

Doing a little hammering on the wall (not necessarily a good thing)

Decked out in the whole thing!

They also sent him this cute shirt. It says Stud Muffin. :)
Thanks Nanny and Pa! He loves it!

Valentine's Day Play Date

I hosted a play date for some of my buddies and their kids yesterday. Unfortunately, there is something going around, so several of the kids got sick and were unable to make it. We had fun as a small group though!

I wanted to make sure all the ladies knew he was a Mama's Boy!
The yummy goodies that I made

We had a great time and I loved hosting! I hope to have everyone over again soon.

Early Girl??

When I went to the doctor last week for my regular check, she said that I was measuring about a week and a half ahead. She suggested that we go in for an ultrasound to check the baby's development. We were excited to see our little girl this far along!

We went for the ultrasound yesterday and as it turns out, she is measuring TWO weeks early. Yikes! We have our c-section scheduled for March 19th which is 39 weeks. However, now she is measuring with a due date of March 14th. I am not sure what the doctor is going to say. I go back on the 23rd. So, we will see.

So, we did the math in our heads. This puts us at about 4 weeks out. If I were to go into labor two weeks early, that is TWO weeks away. I need to get our bags packed! :)

We may be welcoming our little lady earlier than expected!

Playing Outside

It was finally warm enough to play outside a little bit on Friday. Griffin loves to be outside, so he was happy the snow was finally gone.

Playing with the cold water table

The next Chipper Jones. Our boy can bat lefty or righty! :)

We took Griffin to Explora yesterday afternoon. Explora is a really cool science museum. I took him when we first moved out here, but he was too young to really enjoy it. He had a great time this time! Ryan and I loved to watch him explore everything. We are trying to do something fun with him every weekend to enjoy the short time of him being an only child.

Checking himself out in the cool mirror

He LOVED running free on the terrace

Griffin and Dada at the bubble station

They have the coolest elevator ever! Yes, below is the elevator

Griffin's favorite part was the fountain. He liked throwing pennies in there and watching the water shoot.
