I just joined our local moms club and have met some awesome ladies. They have been so welcoming and made me right at home. We had a play date Tuesday, meeting Thursday, park and a going away party Friday.
Partying at the park
Yes, there are trees and grass in NM! (just not much)
Me and my date for the partyAnd I thought Griffin was playing nicely by himself.....
Our sweet little girl turn two months this week. I can't believe it. I took her to the doctor on Friday for her 2 month well check. She had to get 3 shots and cried less at those than she does at home. Her stats are:
Weight: 9 pounds 12 ounces, 25 percentile
Height: 23 inches, 75-90 percentile
Head Circumference: 16 inches, 50-75 percentile
So still long and skinny. Not sure where this child came from. :)
The week before I took her to the doctor because she has been spitting up a decent amount and still crying a lot. They put her on zantac, reflux medicine. It seemed to help for a few days. I can always tell when it is wearing off. When we went back yesterday, the doc changed the dose to three times a day rather than two because it has a tendency to wear off too quick on twice a day. He said to try it for a week and see what happens.
When she is alert and happy, she is the sweetest baby. She has really started to smile, which I LOVE! She loves her mama, which I love too! She is still a crier, but hopefully as she gets older and with this medicine we will see some improvement. Also, she HATES the car. It is so crazy because Griffin loved it. Hopefully, she will get used to it soon. She is also not really a fan of tummy time, but I don't think any babies really are.
Griffin still loves her to pieces and almost always asks for her first thing in the morning. He is obsessed with touching her feet. Maybe because it is the only thing he can manage to get his hands on. :)
We had my friend Jill and her family over for dinner Saturday night and since we were all pretty I got Ryan to do a little photo session with me and my babies before they arrived. We got some pretty cute ones!
We had professional pictures taken a few weeks ago and I wanted to share with everyone. The photographer came to our house to take pics and I have to say it was much easier than going to a studio! They turned out great. Take a look...
Happy Mother's Day to all of you wonderful mothers out there! I have to say, being a mom is by far the coolest thing in the world! It is the hardest and most rewarding job. I love every minute of being a mom. I am so blessed to have Griffin and Ansley in my life.
I do want to give a special mothers day wish to my mom. The best mom in the world! I love you more than I can express and thank you for EVERYTHING you do. I only hope I can be as great to my kids as you are to me!
Ryan has to do a little work tomorrow (some sort of expo), so he took the morning off and spent it with his lovely family! We went to the zoo. We did get the pass where we can go as many times as we want, so we are taking full advantage of it!
We were actually only there for like an hour. It was field trip day. There were SO many people there. It was fun nonetheless.
Griffy and his buddy
Ansley only stayed awake for about 5 minutes. She decided the zoo was a great place to nap again.
Papa (Ryan's dad) came to visit over the weekend. We really enjoyed his company! He was delighted to meet his granddaughter and play around with Griffin. We mainly just hung around the house and had fun.
I have been married to my best friend, Ryan, since 2006 and we welcomed our first son Griffin in July of 2008. We welcomed our baby girl Ansley in March of 2010.
We moved from Atlanta to Albuquerque, NM and remained there for 3 years. Ryan's work transfered us to Texas and we are now living in the Dallas area. Ryan has an amazing job as a roofing saleman and this allows me to be a stay at home mom.
I created this blog to allow our family and friends to keep up with our daily lives. Thanks for checking in on us!
