Visit with Jason and Katie

We went to visit my cousin Jason and his wife Katie yesterday afternoon. They have been a H.U.G.E blessing on our trip. They have an extra pick-up truck, so they were nice enough to let my grandma borrow it so that I could use her car. The two car seats would have never fit safely in the little truck, so we had to trade cars around a little to make it work. THANK YOU BOTH!!

We had a fun visit and Griffin loves them. They were worried about not having any toys to play with, but who needs toys. All you need is a blanket! :)

It's fun to be 5....months!

Little Miss Ansley is 5 months old today! I can't believe it. It's amazing how far we have come in a few months. She really is a happy baby, until it's time to sleep (that's another story). Here are a few things about her at this age:
-She smiles ALL the time. Flirts with everyone.
-Her eyes are still really blue. Maybe they will stay?
-She loves to cuddle. She would be completely happy being held all the time and sleeping next to you, while wearing her mama out in the process.
-She was on a pretty good schedule back in NM, but our little trip has messed her up. Naps and night time continue to be a battle even though she is completely exhausted. I've been letting her sleep in the bed with me here because it's the only way I can get her to sleep at night. She's going to be a disaster when we get back home, but I guess daddy will deal with that then. HAHA :)
-She is a rolly polly! She is really good at rolling around!
-She loves her brother, lights up when he comes around.
-She's gaining weight like crazy. Wears 3-6 or 6 month clothes. She's a chunky monkey now and I love it!
-She's loves carrots and sweet potatoes and is not a fan of peas.
-She's a talker. Girl loves to talk.
-She is working on cutting her first tooth. I can see it under the gums just waiting to bust through.
-She's our little girl and we love her!!

SCHS 10 Year Reunion!

I had my 10 year high school reunion on Saturday. It was so much fun and nice to see people that I haven't seen since we graduated. Of course, I also enjoyed seeing my group of friends that I keep up with.
My girls!

I didn't take as many pictures as I had hoped. I was too busy talking. Oh well! Can't wait for the 20 year! :)

Flight to Georgia

Well, we made it! I flew solo with the kids to GA. We are here for 3 weeks! We were planning on driving with Ryan, but I decided that flying would be easier than 21+ hours in the car with these two. So, I opted to fly by myself with them. Ryan is staying home to work a TON. He will be out of town the entire time we are gone except for weekends. was the flight you ask?? Actually pretty good. They let Ryan come to the gate with us (couldn't believe it), so that was VERY helpful. Once we went down the gateway, we were on our own! We were in the very back of the plane (as I requested) and had 2 seats of a 3 seat side. No one was in the third, thank god! Ansley did cry quite a bit while we were taxing to take off. I knew she was tired and hungry, but I was trying to hold her off until we took off, so the bottle would help her ears. Once I gave it to her she was good. She only ended up sleeping about 30 minutes of the 3 hour flight. Only had one other crying spell, but I got her under control.

There was one flight attendant that was a little rude. Ansley literally was crying for 30 seconds and she comes there anything I can do to quiet her down. Can I get her some milk? Umm...pretty sure she can't have regular milk lady. Griffin only squealed about 8 times. :) No really, he did really well, the DVD player is a savior! He watched Finding Nemo and Sid the Science Kid.

I was that mom that took a few pictures...hey a girl's gotta blog!

I did have to give Griffin the camera for a little entertainment! He proceeded to take pictures of himself. Hilarious!

I'll try to keep up with my blogs while I am here. Man, its hot, so we will be inside more than I hoped.

Summer Fun!

We had a pretty lazy weekend, but took advantage of the nice weather. We filled Griffin's little pool up and let him go to town! Yep, he's naked. Don't judge. :)
