One thing we tend to do most every evening, is after dinner we spend time outside as a family. Ansley usually swings her little heart out and Griffin is in to everything. Well, tonight we decided to see if Ansley's sitting up skills were enough for the blue car. Sure enough, she did great....and her brother was happy to push her around. It was SO stinkin' cute!
I got it bro!
After about a million pictures...finally...one that shows her two latest additions!
Uncle Trav came to visit us last weekend! Travis is Ryan's best buddy. They have been friends forever. While on his visit, we went to the fair and they (Ryan, Travis, Griffin and Ansley) went to the top of the mountain. I was off on a girls day/night! We really enjoyed his visit and can't wait for him to come back.
Last Friday we went to the NM state fair. It is kind of cool, because we have lived in NM one year and so we can say....Oh we did this last year. We had a lot of fun. It was especially fun for me, because I was pregnant last year, so I got to enjoy myself a little more.
Unfortunately, Griffin was a complete terd and so we never made it to the rides. He missed his nap the day before and it always catches up with him the next day. He was melt down after melt down. All you mamas with toddlers know exactly what I am talking about. Sleep is crucial in our home! We did manage to have a little fun and eat some good fair food.
Griffin loved seeing the animals
A boy in LOVE
Can you believe this was just a year ago????? (insert tear here)
We got to feed some animals right from our hand. Griffin was very hesitant at first but then pitched a fit when we had to leave. Figures. ;)
Ansley had her 6 month well check today. Here are her stats:
-19lbs, 95th percentile (holy crap, this girl is a tank!) -26 1/2 inches tall, 75th percentile (where did this child come from) -44cm head circ. 90th percentile
So...she is tall and chunky! Or fat and happy as we call it in our house.
Doc said she is great and keep it up. He gave us the go ahead to begin some real food (bananas, poofs, etc). So, we will see how she digs those. She had to get three shots and was not pleased about them.
On another note, Ansley's formula was included in the Similac recall. Not sure if yall heard about it, but the formula might contain beetle parts. YUCK! Maybe that's why she is so chunky! haha :) We switched her to enfamil and she seems to love it just as much.
Happy 1/2 Birthday Ansley Elizabeth! I can NOT believe our baby girl is 6 months old today. Where in the world does the time go?
Here are a few of her latest things.... -She is a smiler. Girl flirts with EVERYONE -She eats 3 6oz and 1 8oz bottle per day. She also has 3 jars of baby food, usually 2 fruits (1 with oatmeal) and 1 veggie. -Her favorites are sweet potatoes, carrots, apples, pears, banana mango, prunes. She does not like peas and squash (she literally gags). -She wears size 3 diapers -She just cut her FIRST tooth, today. What a 1/2 birthday present! -Usually a morning nap around 9am for about an hour, then another nap at 12:30 for 3-4 hours (which corresponds with her brothers, thank god!). -Goes to bed at 7pm and sleep until 6:30-7:30am -We are still working on sleeping through the night. She doesn't eat anymore, but sometimes we have to go in and give her the paci. -She is not sitting up on her own yet. -She is making VERY small crawling motions. -She is in L.O.V.E with the swing in the backyard. The child will swing forever! -She is obsessed with her brother. She looks all over for him and gets so tickled when he talks/plays with her. (which makes me the happiest mama in the world) -She has turned into the easy child! She really is the sweetest little girl and we love her SO much.
We go for her well check on Friday, so stats to follow.
We hit up Monkey Joe's with Lily and Dana (my cousin and her daughter). It was the first time Griffin had been in a jump jump place in a while, so he was really hesitant at first. He finally warmed up and went crazy. They both had a great time. I didn't get too many pics, but here are a few.
We went to Monkey Joe's on Tuesday and then to Carter's party (see below) on Saturday. Griffin was PRO that time around.
We were also lucky enough to be able to go to Carter's birthday party while we were in GA. Carter is Kelli's son, Kelli is one of my very best friends, we have been friends since 7th grade. The party was at Catch Air, a jump jump place. Well, Griffin had the BEST time.
He was such a big kid. He didn't need Mommy's help getting through the tunnels and climbing the walls.
This was the extend of little Ansley's play time
Kell and Ansley (they matched on purpose)
Nana came with us to help out. I was scared to go solo with both kids.
I hate that I didnt even get a picture of the birthday boy. It was crazy in that place!
Thanks for letting us come, we had so much fun!! Come visit us in ABQ!!
We were lucky enough to be in town on Nanny's birthday. So, her and Pa scooted on over to Newnan to celebrate at Nana's house. We had BBQ, my mom makes the BEST bbq (which is why mine is SO good, haha).

I have been married to my best friend, Ryan, since 2006 and we welcomed our first son Griffin in July of 2008. We welcomed our baby girl Ansley in March of 2010.
We moved from Atlanta to Albuquerque, NM and remained there for 3 years. Ryan's work transfered us to Texas and we are now living in the Dallas area. Ryan has an amazing job as a roofing saleman and this allows me to be a stay at home mom.
I created this blog to allow our family and friends to keep up with our daily lives. Thanks for checking in on us!
