Ansley had her 12 month well check today. Poor girl had to get 5 shots and was diagnosed with an ear infection! Boo!! She has had a cold that she can't seem to shake and all the drainage probably caused the ear infection. Her stats are as follows: Weight: 24lbs, 4.5 ozs, 92nd percentile Height: 31 inches, 95th percentile Head Circumference: 47cm, 94th percentile Some things about our little (or big) girl: She is a crawling machine. She is FAST! -She is cruising along the couches and will walk with her baby stroller. -She is on regular milk now and loves it! -She has a black belt in self defense! :) -She naps once a day, from about 12:30pm-3:30pm and sleeps from 8pm-7 or 7:30am -She is a girl that knows what she wants and will fuss until she gets it -She loves saying "hi" to everyone when we are out. -She says several words: dada, mama, baba (bottle), ba (ball), baby, hi, bye and I am pretty sure she repeated a few animal sounds to me (oink oink, woof woof). -Some of her favorite toys include Griffin's cars, firetruck, baby dolls, music box, books, her new push toy from Nana. -She loves playing with my jewelry. I am trying to teach her early! -She likes to be held a lot, high maintenance. I am sure I will miss it before too long. She looks JUST like her daddy! She is the sweetest little girl and we are SO blessed to have her in our lives
Day 3 of our Vegas adventure consisted of me getting a facial (YAY me!!) and walking the strip. We literally walked pretty much the entire thing (one way, we decided to take a cab back). It was actually pretty warm, so it was a nice walk. When we got back, I took advantage of the warm weather and layed out for about 2 hours. It was so nice!! We had dinner that evening at CUT, it is a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, that is considered one of the top 3 steakhouses in the US. They brought our raw meat to the table to show us our steak options. Crazy! Ryan had a ribeye and I had a fillet. It was the BEST steak I have ever had! We paired our steaks with creamed spinach and mac and cheese (the waitress recommended this and she was right, delish!). This was by far the best meal we had on our trip! After dinner, we decided to take advantage of the gondola ride in our hotel (at $16 bucks a person, for about 10 minutes!). But, we had to do it. Our "driver" was a hoot! We also got roped in for the $20 picture below. We are suckers!! :)
We hit up the M&M store during our walk The Bellagio
On our second day in Vegas, we walked to the Wynn (which was next door) and to the Fashion Show, a mall across the street. That night, we went to Caesar's Palace to eat at Bobby Flay'srestaurant, Mesa Grill. Dinner was AWESOME! I had the best margarita I have ever had, along with a yummy apple salad and coffee rubbed fillet. Following dinner, we walked around the hotel and then went to the Bellagio, Paris and Ballys.
Ryan at the Bellagio
The ceiling in the Bellagio. It was beautiful
It had been too windy that day and the bartender at the Bellagio said that the water show would not be going on. We walked on the balcony and they started it all the sudden! It was perfect timing. It was so cool to see!
Me and my hubby!
A girls dream!! (inside Caesar's Palace)

We had lunch at I Love Burgers, a restaurant in our hotel. It was seriously the BEST burger I have ever had!
My mom came in for Ansley's birthday and then let Ryan and I go on a little vacay! We went to Vegas! We stayed at the Palazzo. We originally had a reservation at the Ventian, but since the hotels are connected and the Ventian did not have any rooms ready when we arrived, we opted for the Palazzo. It was BEAUTIFUL. It was quite the fancy hotel which included a TON of fancy shops and restaurants.
One of my personal favs...I tried on those beautiful red bottom shoes...otherwise known as Louboutins!! They were $3500! Ryan made me leave them there. :)
The first night we ate at an Asian restaurant in our hotel and then went to see the Cirque duSoleil show Mystre at Treasure Island (which happened to be right across the street from our hotel).

The Canal Shoppes in our hotel. The gondola ride went right through the middle.
These pics are in reverse order (sorry, I always forget to add the last ones first, oh well, you get the idea). Ryan scanned the invite, but he isn't here right now, so I will do another post on it. It was ADORABLE. We requested that everyone come dressed "pretty in pink." Most everyone participated. Yes, Ansley had a wardrobe change during the party. Would you expect anything else?!? :)
Ansley got her first American Girl Doll (Bitty Baby) from her BFF Molly!!

Griff's favorite part, the cake!
She LOVES her daddy!
She was very dainty with the cake (which I was a little surprised)

It was a beautiful day (a little windy)

I have been married to my best friend, Ryan, since 2006 and we welcomed our first son Griffin in July of 2008. We welcomed our baby girl Ansley in March of 2010.
We moved from Atlanta to Albuquerque, NM and remained there for 3 years. Ryan's work transfered us to Texas and we are now living in the Dallas area. Ryan has an amazing job as a roofing saleman and this allows me to be a stay at home mom.
I created this blog to allow our family and friends to keep up with our daily lives. Thanks for checking in on us!
