Today, we decided to go to the aquarium and the botanical gardens. We had a blast. As I have mentioned before, the aquarium takes about 10 minutes to go through (and I am not exaggerating) and the botanical gardens is in the same place. We have only been to the gardens for the river of lights back in December, so it was nice to see it in the day time.
The princess before we left. Just after I took this picture she got up and walked to the couch, which she fell onto the wood post inside the couch and got a NASTY bruise on her head. Poor girl! There is a pic further down of her battle wound.
Griff was in heaven to see a swan at the aquarium
The botanical gardens had some sort of train show going on. G didn't mind one bit!
They have a kids fantasy garden and he LOVED it
"Hurry it up Daddy"
He got to slide inside a log
He was skiddish at first, but got up the courage to ride the big ant!
As g called it, "the big giant carrot"
Poor poor little girl!
The kid fantasy garden was probably one of the coolest things we have done in NM. We will definitely be visiting again soon.
Ryan took Griffin to Lowe's today for their Build and Grow class. They have them on Saturday's and the kids get to do a free little project. It was their first time and they had a blast. They had no idea what to expect....there were 60ish people there! Regardless, they had fun and it was good father son bonding time. :)
Griff was SO proud to show me his airplane that he built at Lowes!
Since it was his first time, he got all the goods: an apron, goggles and project patch for his apron.
Seriously... I posted the last post Monday about her entertaining the idea of walking and then this child has taken off. She is getting super brave and will just start walking. She still falls down, but practice makes perfect! :)
I just realized I never did a post on our baby girl turning 14 months. She is at a really fun age right now and her personality is starting to shine. A few things about her now: she loves books, still drinks from a bottle (the cold turkey method will be happening very soon), she naps once a day, wears size 4 diapers and 18 months clothes, she loves her brother's toy cars, she is now starting to defend herself from her brother and can put up a pretty good fight.....
Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful moms out there!! I am so lucky to have a wonderful mom, mother-in-law and grandmas! I absolutely LOVE being a mother! Most importantly, a mother to Griffin and Ansley. They are my life!
Today was great! It was very low key in the Beals House. Ryan made waffles for breakfast, we had a lunch picnic in the backyard, watched the kids play in the baby pool and Ryan cooked a FABULOUS dinner! Thanks to my man for making the day wonderful.
My friend Kristin is moving to Montana in a few days, so we had to give her a proper send off! Last night, we went to the Chamisa Hills Country Club to an event called Savory Affair. It was a food, wine and beer tasting for charity. We had a blast!

I have been married to my best friend, Ryan, since 2006 and we welcomed our first son Griffin in July of 2008. We welcomed our baby girl Ansley in March of 2010.
We moved from Atlanta to Albuquerque, NM and remained there for 3 years. Ryan's work transfered us to Texas and we are now living in the Dallas area. Ryan has an amazing job as a roofing saleman and this allows me to be a stay at home mom.
I created this blog to allow our family and friends to keep up with our daily lives. Thanks for checking in on us!
