Griffin has been in swim lessons for the past two weeks. Today was his last day. He did really well and LOVED his instructor, Mr. Gino. Gino is leaving for college in a few weeks, but we hope he will be back next summer to teach him again.
Today Griff said he wanted to jump off the diving board.
He got up there...thought about it for a while....
And decided that he would try "next time"
Ansley had fun too, walking all around, snacking, etc
Ryan had to go to Hawaii for work (though life huh??) and brought Ansley and Griffin these adorable outfits back. I will have to do a serious photo shoot with them one day. I could barely keep them still for this one.
Today was Griffin's actual birthday! I can not believe he is 3 years old! It really does seem like yesterday that he was born. I had no idea how much my life would change on this date three years ago. I love this little boy more than words could ever describe!
He just looked older when he woke up this morning. :)
We had a little picnic in the park with Nikki and Moira and their kiddos. It was a lot of fun.
Griffin and his girlfriend Molly
Boys will be boys....they were having a Dorito eating contest
We gave Griff him a few little things for his bday. Cars Walkie Talkies, 2 books and a fireman dress-up set. All were a hit!
We sang Happy Birthday after dinner
That's right....we recycled the firetruck. It had seen better days. HAHA
Some little things about him at this age:
-LOVES to be outside, no matter how hot it may be -Favorite Foods: Cheetos, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, grapes, apples, icing, peas, corn, pancakes, waffles, sausage, yogurt -loves to look at the blog and talk about all the pictures -doesn't want his sister to touch anything of his (we are working on that) -likes to color, cut, write with chalk -favorite movie is Gnomeo and Juliet -favorite show is Bubble Guppies -likes to help Daddy in the garage -really into sports -really looking forward to going to preschool
We have his well child check in a month, so I can add his stats then.
We celebrated Griffin's 3rd birthday party today! It was a firetruck theme and was awesome. We went on a tour of a fire station then headed to the park for some play time. Everyone had a wonderful time. Warning....this is a HUGE picture post. :)
One of the party favors. It says, " Thanks for getting fired up about my birthday, Griffin"

Molly and her BFF Ansley
Quick note: My worst fear came true...the fire station had no idea we were coming! That's right, we showed up with probably 30 people and they were not informed we were coming. I knocked on the door to find 2 firefighters in their pj's looking clueless. Their captain forgot to tell them they had a tour. Luckily, they were SUPER nice and got dressed and gave us our tour. I seriously confirmed THREE times, but I had a feeling that was gonna happen. Oh well, it all worked out and we had a BLAST!!
Isabel and Gabby ready for action. LOVED it!
Watch out people! Coming through
The Beals Family
Moira and Molly
Could she be any cuter??
All the kids got fire hydrant cups with their names on them as their other party favor
That's right, Paw Paw came in for the festivities. I could not have done it without him...a HUGE help.
The dalmatian jump jump
The fire truck cake and marshmallow pops (per Griffin's request)
Griffin and Super Ben
Jill and Baby Brody
Pretty sure Ansley only ate sweets at the party....Cake
Blowing out the candles

Having a very important discussion with Paw Paw
Caught this little creeper while we were packing up
We had such a fun time and can not believe my little man will be 3 on Monday. Happy Birthday Griff, we love you SO much!!
I have been married to my best friend, Ryan, since 2006 and we welcomed our first son Griffin in July of 2008. We welcomed our baby girl Ansley in March of 2010.
We moved from Atlanta to Albuquerque, NM and remained there for 3 years. Ryan's work transfered us to Texas and we are now living in the Dallas area. Ryan has an amazing job as a roofing saleman and this allows me to be a stay at home mom.
I created this blog to allow our family and friends to keep up with our daily lives. Thanks for checking in on us!
