Santa was so good to our kids this year. Ansley received all kinds of baby accessories (high chair, feeding things, pack and play, etc). Griffin only really asked Santa for a scooter, and what do you know, the big guy brought him one! And a few other things too, airplanes, arts and crafts and a couple of games.
All their loot
Ansley, Ryan and I were up bright and early at 6:30am. This is usually when Griffin wakes up too, however he decided to sleep in on Christmas Day....so we went in and woke him up. He shot out of bed when I told him Santa had came!
And this one decides she needs to finish the couple bites of cookie that Santa left.
Daddy got a back scratcher in his stocking
My slippers Griffin picked out for me
Calling Nanny and Pa to thank them for her mickey mouse blackberry
He decided he needed to try on the angry bird boxers that he picked out for Daddy
Ansley did good when she picked this gift out for Griff. He LOVES it. Its a penguin (from Madagascar) that launches balls.
The bomb that went off in the living room!
Griff's final present was a bike from Nana and Papa Jim. He LOVES it. He just needs to practice riding it (its a little tricky compared to a regular ole tricycle)
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Wishing you all the best for the New Year!!
Growing up, we always made and decorated Christmas cookies at my Dad and Step-Mom's house. I always really enjoyed it. Last year, my dad gave me this awesome gift of a ba-zillion cookie cutters, sheet pans, etc! He said it was so that I could continue the tradition with my family (my daddy is so sweet!!).
We decided to give it a whirl this year. The kids really enjoyed it, Ansley especially. Griffin painted a few then he was worried about eating them. :) Ansley actually stayed seated for a good bit painting her little heart out, sampling too, but nonetheless, having a ball.
Helping us cut the cookies out. He wanted to sport an apron :)
Then it was A's turn. This child wasn't two seconds into it before she had dough her mouth!!
"When do we eat!!"
I ended up painting the rest, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I can not even wait to do it again next year with them. Fun, fun, fun!!
Ryan had the day off today, so we have been just relaxing at home and enjoying some family time. We decided to take the kids out to play in the snow. We still have a good amount from the other day. They were actually expecting another 3 inches last night, but it was so windy that it just blew away and didn't accumulate.
Grandma gave us a gift card to Target for Christmas. So, I decided to use some of it to invest in something we actually need, rather than spend it on all the crap that I usually end up with in Target. Go in for one thing, come out with 50. Yes, ladies, you know what I am talking about!! Anywho.....I got the kids snow bibs (it probably wont snow again all winter now that I bought them, haha). They were perfect. I felt confident the kids were toasty warm and not getting wet or cold.
"I'm King of the World"
We had to demolish our snowman. Ryan decided to see how Frosty would hold up against the block wall. The wall won!
A boy in heaven!!
Miss Priss took a bit to warm up to the "gear" but then had an awesome time playing in the snow
I have been married to my best friend, Ryan, since 2006 and we welcomed our first son Griffin in July of 2008. We welcomed our baby girl Ansley in March of 2010.
We moved from Atlanta to Albuquerque, NM and remained there for 3 years. Ryan's work transfered us to Texas and we are now living in the Dallas area. Ryan has an amazing job as a roofing saleman and this allows me to be a stay at home mom.
I created this blog to allow our family and friends to keep up with our daily lives. Thanks for checking in on us!
