Paw Paw's Visit

My dad made a little impromptu visit this past weekend.  He had work in New Mexico starting today, so he decided to come visit the weekend prior.  We had him from Friday until Monday morning.  It was a short visit, but a super fun one.

My poor dad, everytime he comes to visit, we have a project for him to do. :) This time it was painting the front door. I know Ryan likes to do little projects with him too.

The boys did a Lowes Build and Grow while Ansley and I shopped for paint for the door

We were the ghetto house all day Saturday.  This is what our front entrance looked like.

We also gave Paw Paw his birthday presents about a month early.  He was here, so we figured why not.  He got a redneck martini glass, dirty martini mix (which he can only find in NM) and some vodka.  He loved it!

G needed to show Paw Paw how he runs through the sprinklers

I asked Griff what he wanted to do with Paw Paw during his visit.  He chose bowling.

Mama won the first game with a whopping 154!!!!

Then Paw Paw had to show me up with a 155!

G also had to teach Paw Paw some games on the iPad

Diving Griff

Griffin has been in swim lessons this week and finally got up the courage to jump off the diving board today.  My friend Jill captured it on video for me!

Two sun kissed babies after the tub....

We spent the day outside today at swim lessons and the park, so their cheeks got a little rosie.  Here are our babies in their new jammies from Nanny and Pa after their tub tonight.

Dinosaur Museum

Lisa, Jill and I took our 9 kids (yes NINE) to the dinosaur museum last week.  We were like a herd of cattle going through that place.  We had a great time and all the kids did really great.  We have been before, but they had a special exhibit with robotic dinosaurs.  The kids were not too sure about ole T-Rex moving around.

30th Birthday!

Happy Birthday to me!!  Today marks my 30th birthday!  I celebrated with my girlfriends on Saturday night.  We started off at the Milagro winery for a wine tasting, then continued to dinner at Indigo Crow.  It was such a fun evening!  On Sunday evening, Ryan cooked me dinner and had a cake.  He decorated the dining room and it was precious!  So thoughtful!  He also gave me a FABULOUS present to mark my 30 years.  See below...

The barrels in the winery.  Each barrel costs 1200 bucks and comes from France!  He said the barrels are what make the wine.  Each one holds 300 bottles of wine.

Mr Rick, the owner and our host.  He was SO awesome.  I learned so much.

We got to taste 6 wines, 2 white and 4 red.  My favorite was the Cabernet Franc.  I actually have never even heard of that, it is usually Cabernet Sauvignon.  It was tasty.

Me and my girls.  There were 7 of us for the tasting and 9 for dinner

Dina, Lisa, Jill, me and Lorraine

At dinner, it was crucial to begin with a champagne toast.

Cheers to 30!

Guess who was sitting 2 tables over!!  BONO!  Well, we are all pretty convinced it was him.  Judge for yourself!

Last night, we went to the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus!  It was so great.  The kids had an absolute blast.  We had really awesome seats, row A people!  It was difficult to take good pictures as it was dark in the arena.  But, I managed to capture the experience.

Yes!  We are at the circus!

Luckily our seats on the front row of a box, so Ansley could stand up and look over.  She had a ball!

Loving on her big brother

They each got to pick out a prize.  Griffin picked a motorcycle spinner thing. He has been warned that it better not become a weapon.  :)

Potty Training Ansley

We started our 3 Day Potting Training with Ansley over Memorial Day Weekend.  We were on lock down and chased her around the house for 3 days saying "Tell Mommy and Daddy when you have to go potty."  It was stressful, but successful.  I am happy to report that our little princess is doing awesome.  We haven't had any accidents over the last two days.  We are so proud of her and hope the successes continue!
