Slip N Slide Fun

We finally busted out the slip n slide that Nana got the kids back in New Mexico.  Griffin LOVED it.  He had an absolute blast.  Ansley was a chicken.  She preferred to stay in the pool part.

A cute chicken nonetheless

More Grandma!!

On Sunday, Ryan took the kids back to Bonham to pick up Grandma (I was home from Austin when they returned).  She just left today, so she got to hang with us for a few days this time.

Of course, Ryan had to make sure he planned some fishing into their trip. ;)

We sure enjoyed having Grandma stay with us.

She got to go to Griffin's tennis lesson.

She was supposed to go to Griffin's game last night but it got canceled due to rain.  My Dad had even come down to visit and to catch Griff's game. We all went to lunch yesterday. How lucky am I to be able to have lunch with my grandma, dad and my kids. 4 generations!! Not many people get to have that (and I do on both sides)!

We ended up playing the Wii!  Grandma was awesome at bowling!!  Check out that form.  :)

Austin

On Saturday, I went down to Austin to visit my friend Vanessa.  I just needed a little get away.  We just hung out then went to dinner at Hula Hut on Lake Austin.  The restaurant had an awesome atmosphere.

Her birthday is this weekend so I brought her a gift.

More fishing!

On Sunday, we went back out to Bonham to visit with Aunt Jeri, Uncle Ed, Grandma, Paw Paw and some of my other Texas relatives I hadn't met before.  This time Ryan got to come along, which of course made it much more fun!!  Griffin brought his own pole and Daddy even got Ansley one (pink of course).

They love fishing in Uncle Ed's ponds.  The fish pretty much bite as soon as you can re-bait your line.  Ryan caught like 6 bass (small ones) and the kids caught brim.

Griff was seriously a pro.  He was casting the line like a champ

They were obsessed with touching the fish.  Something their mother will not do  ;)

Miss Priss caught her very first fish.  It was super windy that day so you may have to listen hard for her.  She says "I caught a fish...ya whooooo!"

A sign of a truly successful day!!

Grandma's Here!!

My Grandma came to town on Wednesday.  Ansley and I picked her up at the airport while Griffin was at school.  We enjoyed hanging out with her Wednesday and Thursday we took her to her sister's house about 2 hours away.  She is staying there for a few weeks, then coming back to stay with us for a few days.  The kids and I LOVED having her and can't wait for her to come back.

They had Grandma playing

On Thursday, we took her to Bonham where her sister lives.  Aunt Jeri and Uncle Ed live on some land with 2 ponds.  The kids LOVED fishing (Griffin especially).  It ended up being a super cold day, so Ansley did not last too long.  Paw Paw even came down from Oklahoma to spend the day with us.

The first pond wasn't really working, so after Ansley and I went in, Griffin, Paw Paw and Uncle Ed went to the other pond.  Griffin caught 12 fish!  He had a blast.

Check out this beast!!

(actually, my dad is holding the fish right up to the camera and had G stand back.  Haha, funny Paw Paw)

We plan on going back out to visit next weekend hopefully when the weather is better.  I would love to get to know some of my Texas relatives more!
