Aunt Gale's Surprise 60th

My Aunt Gale was surprised with a 60th birthday party over the weekend.  We were so fortunate to be able to attend.  She was super surprised especially with my dad coming from OK for the party.

The kids had a blast too.  Setting up and cleaning up was just as fun as the party.  They love playing with their cousins Madison, Lily and Camdyn.

Ansley, Madison and Griffin up to no good.

The delicious cake from Publix.  I sure miss Publix. For those that don't know, Publix is the very best grocery store!

So happy about her brother being there!

These four goobers! Lily, Ansley, Madison and Griffin

Wouldn't be a party with out a little light saber action!

My mom managed to snap this gem before the party.  I LOVE these two!

Georgia on our mind

Several of you are wondering how the kids were on the drive to GA.  They were AMAZING! Seriously, I was so impressed with them.  We left the house at 8:30am and started on our adventure.

Made it to LA!

Kids got to pick the lunch spot.  Of course they wanted Mickey D's. this was a treat because I never take them there.  We would do Chickfila any day over this joint. :).

G was so impressed with the Mississippi River.

Welcome to MS!

They sacked out just after the border

I decided since they were so good that we would drive a little further the first day. We have planned to stop just outside of Jackson, but ended up pushing to Meridian (about 2 hours more).

So happy be to out of the car!

Nothing like a little swimming to have some fun!

Day 2 consisted of Alabama and Georgia! Our last two states!

And of course, the only state that didn't have a pretty sign was good ole Georgia.  If you look real hard, you can see the Georgia state line sign.

We surprised Nanny and Pa and went straight to their house.  They were not expecting us until the following day.  So happy to be in GA!

Made Pa's day!!

They even dug this bad boy out.  This was mine when I was little.

Also, they didn't waste anytime asking  to ride the tractor.

Main Event with Paw Paw

My dad came to visit us Friday and Saturday.  We got to celebrate Father's Day and my birthday.  Griffin got to choose something fun for us to do on Saturday morning.  Surprise Surprise, he decided on bowling at Main Event.

Not sure which part he liked best, the bowling or the arcade.

On a side note, we head to GA tomorrow for 3 weeks.  Say a prayer, I am driving with both kids by myself on the way there!!

Day 3

Day Three we headed straight for the beach.
Daddy and Griff doing what they do best

Ansley doing her favorite.  Playing on the shoreline picking up shells and splashing.  That's what what her and I did most.

Look Mom

Sweet Siblings

We thought it might rain that evening so we decided to switch our plans around and go ride go karts and putt putt after lunch.  We had planned to go after dinner, but since this was our last evening we did not want to chance not being able to go.  Man, it was HOT!
She thought she was so cool that she could wrap a towl around her like mommy

So happy to do some real life Mario Kart!!

We had dinner at Shrimp N Stuff, which was delicious.  And hit up the pool when we got back.
