Weekend Fun and Not so Fun

Even with all the baseball, we managed to get our Christmas decorations up this weekend.  It took a lot of convincing Ryan to do it, but since we will be in GA for Thanksgiving it will be nice to come home and have it completed.

Well during our decorating we had an injury...a pretty good one.  Ansley picked up a piece of broken glass and it sliced the inside of her thumb bad (right at the crease where it connects to the hand)...like we rushed her in the car to take her to the doctor.  Luckily our doctor was open on Saturday and were SO KIND and took us right away.  It turned out not to be as bad as we had originally thought, but it still needed to be glued shut.  Girlfriend was a trooper!  It certainly scared her when it happened (all of us for that matter) but was so brave.  They gave her a split to keep it from moving (so it will not open back up).

Sis give the pink bandage a big thumbs up!

We had our final tournament of the fall season this past weekend.  The boys did AMAZING!  They won their two pool play games and won the first bracket game on Sunday which put them into the championship game.  We just finished the first inning (winning 4-3) of the championship when it started raining and lightening, so the game got called.  We were all bummed!  It was the first time we had made it that far in a tournament.  The boys did get trophies for making it that far which was AWESOME!  A well deserved trophy!

The aunt of one of the players is a photographer and caught these awesome shots of Griffin!

I lucked out and got this on video!

So proud of this trophy!  It hasn't left his side since he got it.

Twinsies! (yes, we decorated for Christmas this weekend, don't judge)

Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch

Shelley and I took the kids to the Flower Mound pumpkin patch one day after school.  I asked my friend Lindsay if we could borrow Logan so Griff would have a buddy too.

We had lots of fun as usual!
Let's hope this does not come true....

Fairy Tale Ball

Ansley participated in the Fairy Tale Ball at school.  The librarian hosts it for the Kindergartners.  Our sweet girl went as Dorothy.
Prettiest Dorothy I have ever seen!

Too bad Sadie would not fit in the basket...Ans had to stick with ole Toto

All About Me...Ansley Edition

Ansley had her "All About Me" week at school not too long ago.  I had fun creating her book with her!

Her drawing of our home

BIG thank you to Katie and Aunt Gale for saving Ansley's birth announcement!  I could not find it ANYWHERE and they sent it to me.  Thank you!!

 All her favorite things!

My Grandma came back to Dallas a few weeks ago.  It was actually under unfortunate circumstances.  Uncle Ed passed away.  We have truly enjoyed being able to visit with them these past few years.  He was such a kind, generous man who lived an amazing life in his 88 years.

Grandma came to help out Aunt Jeri, so we picked her up from the airport and drove her to Winnsboro the next day.  We enjoyed visiting with family during this difficult time.  We did fish, because we know that is absolutely what Uncle Ed would have wanted!

Happy to have Grandma!
We took her to Hibachi for dinner

Nice photo bomb Dad....

My Dad met us in Winnsboro.  Between both of us, we brought lunch for the crew...Dad did the meat (ribs and pulled pork) and we did the fixins'

This child is not my daughter....wanted to hold the worms.  Yuck!

My big catch of the day...yes, I am not holding it...

Check out that view!

Sweet Uncle Ed will be greatly missed, but we know he is in a better place.  We love you!
